Google: Google Meet Best Practices

Here are a few best practices for Google Meet:
  • Instead of fumbling with conference URLs and conference call phone numbers, simply head to meet.google.com to access your conference schedule and join calls. The links on that page will auto-magically take you where you need to go. The Google Meet app does the same thing on your phone or tablet.
  • Any attachments that have been added to the calendar meeting request can be accessed on the lower left-hand corner of your screen.  No more searching for files!
  • Use headphones/earbuds with a mic. It will be a better experience for everyone, especially on group calls. If you have a wired option, it'll probably be better than your bluetooth one.
  • Finally, if you're not one of the primary speakers on a group call, go ahead and mute yourself. You can always unmute yourself when you have something to say, but you won't be quick enough to press mute when your kids start screaming at everyone on the call.
